The Game Design and Development programme at Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences (EUAS) is a 3-year, full-time Bachelor’s degree programme worth 180 ECTS. Based in Tallinn and taught in English, the programme prepares students to develop mobile and PC games and provides skills for pursuing careers in the gaming industry or starting a game company. Students can specialise in game graphics or software development.
The curriculum combines game development, art, programming, entrepreneurship, research methodology, and practical experience. Key areas include object-oriented analysis, design and programming, game graphics, game design and level design, game engines, mobile game development, 3D game graphics, VR/AR game design, sound processing, video game publishing and marketing, and game project development. The programme also includes an internship and written papers.
Students benefit from lectures by experienced industry professionals, development tools, regular GameJams, and small class sizes of up to 25 students. EUAS partners with Creative Mobile, Derivco Estonia, GameLab, IGDA Estonia, and Level1 for game design and development studies.
Applicants must submit an internationally recognised secondary education qualification, valid passport, motivation letter, and proof of English proficiency through IELTS, TOEFL, CAE, or Pearson certificate. Applicants must also participate in an admission interview and demonstrate motivation to study and an entrepreneurial mindset.
