The General Practice Nursing programme is a full-time 3.5-year college-level Bachelor’s programme implemented by the Department of Nursing and Dental Care of the Faculty of Medicine at Utenos kolegija. It awards a Professional Bachelor of Health Sciences qualification as a General Practice Nurse. The programme uses a modular-cyclical study system based on spiral teaching and evidence-based practice, with practical training conducted in sub-groups. Students gain clinical experience through simulation training and professional practice in healthcare institutions in Utena, Vilnius, Kaunas, Visaginas, Anykščiai, and other locations. Study and practice opportunities are also available abroad in countries including Portugal, Germany, Latvia, Italy, Greece, Norway, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Turkey.
The programme prepares graduates for professional nursing activities involving health promotion, disease and risk-factor prevention, and physical, mental, and social care of healthy and sick persons. Graduates can continue their studies at Lithuanian or foreign higher education institutions. The tuition fee is €3,005 for both EU and non-EU citizens.
