The General Practice Nursing programme is a full-time professional Bachelor’s programme in Health Sciences delivered in English at the Faculty of Medicine in Kaunas, Lithuania. The programme lasts 3.5 years (7 semesters, 210 ECTS) and leads to a Professional Bachelor of Health Sciences qualification. It combines nursing theory with extensive clinical training and professional internships in first-level practice centres, second-level hospitals, and third-level hospital departments. Students develop skills in general, therapeutic, surgical, geriatric, emergency, mental health, maternity, children’s, community, and palliative nursing, as well as evidence-based practice, healthcare ethics, patient education, and teamwork.
Tuition is €3,100 for both EU and non-EU citizens. Admission requires official educational documents with a minimum 50% GPA, a passport or ID, a motivational letter, at least one reference, and proof of English proficiency. Accepted minimum scores include IELTS 5.5, TOEFL 75, EnglishScore 400 (CoreSkills), or PTE 59. Applicants without an accepted certificate may take the institution’s English test at B2 level for €45. The application deadline is 1 May, and studies start on 1 September.
