The Global Urban Change (IHS) is an English-taught Master of Science programme at Erasmus University Rotterdam’s IHS. The 11-month programme focuses on how cities change and how urban challenges can be addressed through sustainable, integrated, and cross-disciplinary approaches. Students explore topics such as climate and socio-spatial transformations, nature-based solutions, circular economies, resource flows, housing policies, innovation, financialisation, and the social, economic, and technological forces shaping cities.

It equips students with cross-disciplinary skills to analyse urban challenges, engage stakeholders, and develop resilient and future-proof cities.
