Industrial Design

The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design at Eindhoven University of Technology focuses on designing interactive systems, products, and related services that can improve, intensify, or change everyday life. Students learn to translate emerging technologies, social trends, and societal issues into innovative solutions while combining creativity, data, technology, user needs, aesthetics, social impact, and business interests.

Design Projects and Learning

The 3-year, 180 ECTS programme is taught in English and follows a self-directed, competency-centered learning approach. Students work in teams on design assignments with guidance from fellow students, coaches, experts, and researchers. Projects may explore areas such as smart home systems, artificial intelligence, smart clothing, healthcare, sustainable materials, and motivational games, often in collaboration with professional clients and industry partners.
