The Laboratory Medicine Biology (LMB) Master’s programme at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences is a multidisciplinary programme covering major areas of laboratory diagnostics, including laboratory biochemistry, hematology, immunohematology, hemostasis, immunology, microbiology, and genetics. It provides practical, health-care-oriented skills while also building a strong foundation in medical research methodology.
The programme covers Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biophysics and Biochemistry, Chemistry, Medicine and Health, Public Health, and Nursing. Students can develop skills relevant to laboratory diagnostics and testing while exploring individual research interests and learning to work across different subject disciplines.
Graduates can work in medical biology within health-care institutions licensed to provide laboratory diagnostic services, including performing, evaluating, and interpreting clinical laboratory tests. They can also work in laboratories involved in research, training, and development activities. Graduates are entitled to continue to doctoral studies in the field of biomedical sciences.
The programme is a 2-year full-time Master’s degree. Tuition is €6,985 for both EU and non-EU citizens.
