Programme Overview

The Law Bachelor’s programme at Tallinn University is a 3-year, full-time undergraduate programme worth 180 ECTS and taught fully in English. The programme focuses on European and International Law and provides a foundation in legal theory, history of law, private law, public law, and international law. Students develop practical lawyering skills including case analysis, logical reasoning, problem solving, critical thinking, legal writing and research, and argumentation.

Practical and International Learning

Teaching includes the Socratic Method, case presentations, research projects, and moot courts. The programme includes a compulsory internship, and students may participate in international moot court competitions, interdisciplinary projects, and exchange programmes. Elective areas include topics such as GDPR, refugee law, international trade law, international criminal law, European Union internal market and competition law, international tax law, and business law.

Admission and Language Requirements

Applicants must have completed secondary education and possess university eligibility, with at least 60% of the possible maximum results expected. English proficiency can be demonstrated through IELTS 6.0, Cambridge English qualifications at the specified scores, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, or eligible educational exemptions. Non-EU/EEA applicants are required to pay the first semester’s tuition fee before the beginning of studies.
