The M.A. in International Management at Estonian Business School (EBS) is a two-year, full-time postgraduate programme in Tallinn, Estonia, offering 120 ECTS and leading to a Master of Arts in Social Sciences. The programme is taught entirely in English and is designed for graduates who want to develop advanced knowledge and practical capabilities in international business, strategic management, leadership, innovation, and organisational development.
The programme requires applicants to hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Management, or an equivalent qualification. Applicants must also demonstrate English proficiency at B2 level, have at least 60% of the highest possible GPA, submit a CV and application, provide at least two references, and successfully complete the EBS admission interview. The interview evaluates ambition, motivation, and discussion skills, with a minimum required result of 6 out of 12 points.
The programme combines advanced theoretical knowledge with practical learning and is structured around the challenges of modern international business. Students develop the ability to analyse complex business situations, create strategic and innovative solutions, make informed decisions, and lead teams and organisations effectively.

The programme also focuses on developing professional responsibility, innovation, strategic thinking, communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
The first year consists of 60 ECTS of core studies. The first semester focuses on core managerial competencies in international business, including business research design, financial performance management, behavioural economics in marketing, megatrends for business innovation, corporate strategy, and psychology of leadership.
The second semester focuses on Strategic Management and Leadership, covering data analysis for business consulting, corporate law and governance, strategic marketing, business innovation management, sustainable operations management, and advanced organisational behaviour.
During the second year, students complete another 60 ECTS focused on professional knowledge and practical application. In the third semester, students select elective microdegrees worth 30 ECTS to develop specialised knowledge in areas relevant to current labour-market challenges. Students may also participate in an Erasmus exchange semester during this period.
The fourth semester consists of a 15 ECTS business consultancy internship and a 15 ECTS master’s thesis. The graduation module is designed to integrate the knowledge and skills developed throughout the programme through both original research and practical business experience.
Studies are organised in a session-based format, allowing students to combine their studies with professional commitments. Lectures and seminars normally take place every second week on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:00 to 17:15. The schedule for the second year depends on the microdegrees selected by the student.
The learning approach emphasises classroom discussions, teamwork, group activities, practical tasks, and hands-on learning. Students are also expected to prepare for lectures and seminars between sessions.
During the second year, students have the opportunity to study at one of EBS’s partner universities for one semester or one year. The partner network includes business schools such as EMLyon Business School, Università Bocconi, BI Norwegian Business School, Kedge Business School, Copenhagen Business School, and Solbridge International School of Business, among others.
Through the mobility window, students can select business-related courses according to their interests, transfer the earned credits, and study subjects that may not be available at universities in Estonia. Students studying at an EBS partner university continue to pay the EBS tuition fee. For mobility opportunities in EU countries, EBS also provides an Erasmus+ scholarship.
EBS also offers a two-year double degree M.A. programme with the University of Liège in Belgium. Students spend their first year at EBS, focusing on core studies in areas such as business innovation and research methods. During the second year, students study specialisation courses at the partner university in Liège.
The specialisation includes topics related to marketing, including consumer behaviour, digital marketing strategy, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility. Students completing this pathway receive two MA degrees, one from EBS and one from the University of Liège, within two years.
