What the program is

The Microbiology Master’s programme at Radboud University focuses on the functioning, application, and manipulation of microorganisms and their potential to improve human health and the environment. The programme covers the interface between fundamental, applied, and medical microbiology, with applications including energy-efficient waste management and new vaccines.

Study structure and requirements

The two-year Master of Science programme is taught in English and comprises 120 ECTS credits. Students gain more than one year of academic research experience within a Microbiology research department and can focus on Environmental Microbiology & Biotechnology, Immunology, Molecular Microbiology, or Medical Microbiology & Virology.
