The MSc Agrobioinformatics at the University of Giessen is a full-time graduate programme designed for students with a relevant Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Bioinformatics, or Computer Science. The programme provides in-depth knowledge of bioinformatics and programming, with a focus on analysing and interpreting data from genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and other biological disciplines. It prepares students to apply modern data-based methods to global challenges such as food security and climate change.
The programme is taught in English and has a standard duration of 4 semesters. Admission is without admission restriction, and proof of English proficiency at C1 level is required. The programme starts in the winter semester only. For the winter semester, the application period for Germans and inhabitants is 06/01/2026–09/20/2026, while the deadlines for international students from EU and non-EU countries are marked as expired.
