What the Program Is

The Photography and Media Arts master’s programme is a second-cycle programme focused on developing highly qualified independent artist-researchers working in contemporary art. Students undertake artistic research and develop creative projects using both traditional and contemporary media, with particular attention to the role of animation, photography, and media in contemporary culture.

Main Areas of Study

The programme encourages creative thinking and artistic experimentation through photography, animation, video, and other media. Students have access to a photo and video studio, black-and-white photography darkroom, video editing and sound recording laboratory, VR and XR laboratory, and additional workshops covering ceramics, textile, printmaking, wood, laser cutting, metal, 3D printing, and electronics.
