Russian Studies (Русистика) is a Master’s programme at Vilnius University offering an in-depth study of Russian literature, culture, and linguistics through two tracks: Media Linguistics and Literature, Linguistics, Culture. The programme develops students’ abilities to critically and responsibly analyse Russian texts across different genres and prepares them to address theoretical and practical issues related to Russian language, literature, culture, and contemporary society.
The programme is available full-time and has a duration of 2 years. The Media Linguistics track focuses on the relationship between language and media, while the Literature, Linguistics, Culture track explores Russian cultural dynamics and intercultural communication. Tuition is €5,815 for both EU and non-EU citizens. Entry requires B2-level knowledge of Russian.
