Science Education and Communication is a flexible two-year Master of Science programme focused on how science is taught, communicated and understood across different settings. Students learn to develop science communication products and design education strategies for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
The programme offers two tracks: the Education track, which is only available in Dutch and provides teacher qualifications, and the Communication track, which is available in Dutch and/or English and focuses on communicating scientific developments to different audiences. Both tracks combine theory, research and practice through interactive courses and internships.
The programme is taught in English as listed by Study in NL, lasts two years and carries 120 ECTS credits. It is accredited by NVAO. The programme can lead to work in areas such as science museums, science centres and media.
