About the Program

The Sociology: Contemporary Social Problems Master’s programme trains students to analyse and advise on contemporary social issues. It addresses important challenges such as ageing populations and healthcare, the role of the internet in political and social movements, and how governments respond to crime in neighbourhoods, virtual environments, and across borders.

Study Details & Admission

This one-year Master’s programme develops expertise across a range of important social themes while allowing students to explore their own interests and specialise in a particular topic. Students learn about the latest insights in present-day social science and develop the ability to approach complex societal issues from a multidisciplinary perspective. The programme leads to a Master of Science degree and is taught in English.
