The Sustainable and Energy Efficient Buildings programme at Kaunas University of Technology focuses on sustainable building design, energy efficiency, renewable energy integration, and healthy indoor environments. The programme combines energy modelling, sustainable design, intelligent building systems, sustainable water management, life-cycle solutions, and research-based problem-solving.
Students develop knowledge and skills in building sustainability, indoor environmental quality, renewable energy, facilities management, energy demand modelling, digital building analysis, data science, machine learning, and intelligent HVAC systems. The programme also provides practical experience through research projects and a master’s final project, with elective areas including building data science, modular construction, regenerative design, waste management, and recycling technologies.
The programme is a 1.5-year full-time Master’s programme. Tuition is €5,641 per year for both EU and non-EU citizens. Admission requires a university bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, energy engineering, or environmental engineering, along with English proficiency of IELTS 6.0 or higher, TOEFL 85 or higher, CEFR C1 or higher, or previous studies completed in English.
