The Technical Chemistry engineering study programme is offered by the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. This full-time, second-level programme is taught in English and has a standard duration of two years. Graduates receive the academic degree inžinier (Ing.). The programme combines chemistry and chemical technology with specialist knowledge in physical, analytical, organic, and inorganic chemistry.
Students develop knowledge and practical skills in chemical synthesis, analytical methods, spectroscopy, chemical reactions, chemical engineering calculations, and modern laboratory techniques. Depending on their specialisation, they can explore areas such as pharmaceutical chemistry, materials research, environmental monitoring, and chemical analysis.
Graduates can pursue careers in chemical and pharmaceutical production, research and development, quality management, environmental protection, water quality control, hazardous waste management, and specialised laboratories. The programme also prepares graduates to continue to doctoral studies in relevant chemistry and chemical engineering fields.
