Project Manager, Move to Cloud to Azure (IT) / Freelance

Job Description

We are looking for several senior profiles with a strong technical understanding of the Azure Cloud, but above all, with project management/leadership skills to define and monitor cloud migration projects.CONTEXT:You will join a small program team in charge of the Move to Cloud program.The Move to Cloud program is one of the major programs in the IT department’s transformation. Its main objectives are to bring all central and on-premises applications into compliance with new IT and cybersecurity standards, and to migrate eligible applications to the Microsoft Azure cloud.This program was launched in early 2023 and is currently in the final stages of its pilot phase. Encompassing approximately 550 applications (central and on-premises), the migration to Azure will need to move to an industrialized phase to complete this major transformation by the end of 2024.1. MISSION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:As Move to Cloud Project Manager on the Azure platform, you will be responsible for managing the migration process of applications and services to Azure. You will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure the success of migration projects.In this role, your activities will focus on the following areas:Project Planning and Management:Develop detailed migration plans, taking into account dependencies and constraints.Coordinate and oversee the implementation of migration projects, respecting established deadlines and budgets.Manage the provisioning (prioritization, adherence to deadlines) of Azure environments and components by the Azure Engineering team.Requirements Analysis:Work closely with business teams to understand the specific requirements related to the migration to Azure.Ensure effective coordination with architects and technical experts to assess the performance of existing applications.Propose optimization solutions in consultation with the technical teams during the migration.Risk and Quality Management:Identify migration-related risks and implement mitigation plans.Ensure the quality of deliverables throughout the migration process.Communication and Training:Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Provide training and support to internal teams regarding Azure best practices and standards.Candidate Profile:Qualifications and Experience1.1. Required Skills and Experience

• Education & Experience:

Advanced degree (Master’s level or equivalent) witha minimum of 3 years of significant project management experience.Microsoft Azure certification (e.g., AZ-900, AZ-104) would be an asset.

• Expertise / Skills:

Demonstrated experience in managing Azure migration projects.Good knowledge of the Azure platform and associated services.Project management skills, including planning, monitoring and reporting.Strong communication skills, both oral and written.Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.Proficiency in Office suite tools and collaborative tools (Office Pack, Teams, etc.).Soft skills/Qualities: positive, pragmatic and proactive attitude, team spirit and results-oriented, motivated to serve and achieve the objectives of our business directions, ability to work in project mode with international teams alongside department/BU directors.

• Languages: You speak fluent French and English in order to thrive in an international group and in an international program team.

• Mission duration: Until December 2024 with the possibility of extension into 2025

• Travel: For the successful completion of your missions, some planned and anticipated travel abroad may be necessary.
