BARF SRL DISTRIBUTION CENTER is seeking an experienced and organized Warehouse Worker with forklift operation skills for its operations center in Sumirago (VA). The position is full-time and initially offered on a 3-month fixed-term contract aimed at permanent employment.
The role involves packing products, preparing orders, and preparing goods for shipment. Responsibilities include arranging products and packages according to instructions, checking quantities and packaging integrity, verifying orders, receiving goods, loading and unloading, and moving and storing products within the warehouse using a forklift. The employee will also maintain order and cleanliness in the workplace and coordinate with the Warehouse Manager and other warehouse workers.
The position requires access to industrial cold storage rooms. Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in similar warehouse and logistics activities and hold a valid forklift driving licence. Good written and spoken Italian is required. Secondary school education is listed as preferable, while knowledge or certifications related to HACCP are appreciated.
The starting gross salary is €22,165.52 per year, with a stated Level 5 classification and gross salary of €1,705.04 paid for 13 months. Meal vouchers worth €8.00 are provided for each actual 8-hour workday.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in similar warehouse and logistics activities
- Experience in boxing and preparing products for shipping
- Ability to prepare orders by verifying quantities, package integrity, and compliance with requests
- Knowledge of standard shipment preparation and management procedures
- Ability to carry out loading and unloading of goods
- Ability to move and store products using a forklift
- Valid forklift driving licence
- Ability to maintain order and cleanliness in warehouse areas
- Good written and spoken Italian
- Secondary School (High School) — Preferential
- Knowledge and possible certifications in HACCP matters — Appreciated
- Accuracy, responsibility, flexibility, communication, collaboration, and attention to safety
