Job Description

Prenomics is seeking a Backend Software & Data Engineer to develop its Advanced Data Analytics Platform and cloud-based data infrastructure. The role focuses on software architecture, cloud computing, data processing pipelines, automated ETL/ELT processes, Python scripts, and deployment of infrastructure as a service.

The position involves developing backend systems using Python, Django and AWS, with technologies including Websockets, Async views, Celery, Airflow, Docker Microservices, Redis, AWS Lambda, AWS Cognito, SageMaker and Redshift. Responsibilities also include developing libraries for automated data collection, including an ethical web-scraping library, as well as database modelling and design using PostgreSQL, Redshift, S3, AWS EMR and Google BI Engine.

Candidates should have a strong background in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or an equivalent field, along with hands-on experience in Python and SQL. Experience with Django, PostgreSQL, AWS, GCP, Redis, Microservices, Docker or Airflow is considered an additional advantage.
