Job Description

Home Hotel Bryggen in Bergen is looking for an extra-help Chef/Waiter to join its hotel operation and serve hotel and conference guests. The role covers both kitchen and guest-service responsibilities, including breakfast and dinner buffets, serving food and drinks, setting and clearing tables, and providing excellent guest service.

The position also involves maintaining good knowledge of the menu and allergens to guide guests, following guidelines for organic and certified products, contributing to source separation, reducing food waste, and ensuring that health, safety and other applicable requirements are followed. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues to create a smooth and comfortable guest experience and contribute to the development of the hotel’s concepts.

A chef/waiter certificate or equivalent experience is required. Experience from the hotel or service industry is an advantage. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, be innovative and determined, enjoy a positive work environment and be fluent in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language as well as English. Flexibility, energy, motivation, teamwork and the ability to handle pressure are also valued.

This is an additional-help position with the possibility of expanding both the position percentage and period. The start date is by agreement, and the role involves varied shifts including evenings and weekends.
