GCS Malta Job Description
GCS Malta is seeking a Semi-Senior Client Accountant to work with a leading accounting firm in Malta. This is a permanent position based in Sliema for a candidate who is a qualified accountant or in the final stages of achieving their qualification.
The role involves preparing client accounts for management reports, preparing and submitting VAT and tax returns, preparing and submitting payroll reports, following internal controls and procedures, and preparing payment instructions when required. The position also includes liaising with external auditors and assisting clients with tax refund formalities.
The ideal candidate should be fully qualified or nearing qualification, with 3–5 years of accounting experience in Malta considered an asset. Expertise in Maltese VAT and tax law is required, together with proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Strong communication, teamwork and organizational skills are essential. Fluency in English is required, while Italian language knowledge is considered an asset.
Requirements
