Job Description
The U.S. Army Installation Management Command is hiring a Food Service Worker NA-02 at the USAG Rheinland-Pfalz – MWR Sembach Recreation Center in Sembach, Germany. The role involves setting up cafeteria and dining areas with hot and cold food, serving food in proper portions, replenishing items, clearing tables, preparing salads and cold sandwiches, and maintaining clean kitchen and dining areas.
Additional duties include separating food waste, loading and storing dishes, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning exhaust vents, hoods, windows, ceilings and walls, sanitizing trash containers, disposing of trash, and potentially unloading and storing food deliveries. The position is permanent and part-time, with a schedule of not less than 20 hours per week. Evening and weekend work may be required, and overtime is covered under the Federal Wage Schedule rules.
Requirements
- US Citizens, Nationals, or those who owe allegiance to the US, subject to the stated eligibility conditions.
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card required.
- Must meet qualification, eligibility and background requirements.
- Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull items up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk continuously.
- Must have the physical ability to stoop, reach, push, pull and bend.
- Must be able to work on ladders and use powered cleaning equipment.
- Must complete at least 4 hours of initial food sanitation and safety training within 30 days of employment.
- Must complete at least 4 hours of refresher training annually.
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain a valid USAREUR driver's license and TMP license.
- Ability to understand and follow simple instructions.
- Ability to use hand tools for cleaning and operate simple machines.
- Resume must be two pages or less.
- No educational qualification requirement.
