Job Description

Siemens Healthineers, part of Siemens, is seeking a Software Installation Engineer for a full-time position based in Bucharest, Romania. The role involves installing, upgrading, testing, and handing over Oncology Information Systems and related equipment to support healthcare facilities and cancer care services.

The successful candidate will perform on-site installations and software upgrades across the EMEA region, working with customers and local clinical teams. Most installations last approximately one week, and weekend software upgrades may be required to minimize disruption to patient treatment schedules. The position involves frequent travel, estimated at 50–75% of working time.

After comprehensive training, the engineer will take responsibility for installation, testing, and handover activities. The role requires working independently and collaboratively in small project teams, with support from a global network of colleagues.

Applicants should hold a degree from a technical institute or university in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. Experience with domains, Active Directory, MS SQL, and system-level troubleshooting is required. Knowledge of VMware, Citrix, and Windows Server/Client technologies is considered an asset. Fluency in English and the local language, willingness to travel, adaptability, and a commitment to high-quality work are also required. Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but is not essential.
