Job Description

Green Village Resort is seeking a Chef / Chef’s Assistant for a position based in Saint George, Romania. The role reports to the Chef and involves supporting kitchen operations, maintaining food quality, and helping prepare culinary and confectionery products.

The successful candidate will check the quality and weight of prepared products, taste dishes, and make necessary adjustments before they are sold. Responsibilities also include working with the kitchen team to share information and promote new dishes inspired by local and international gastronomy.

The position involves collaborating with the Chef to establish menu lists that consider the specific needs of different nationalities. The employee will also help maintain raw material costs at an optimal level and ensure cleanliness and organization in their assigned kitchen section at the end of the working day.

Applicants should have at least two years of experience in a similar position. Relevant professional skills include knowledge of food preparation processes and food assortments. Qualification courses in the field are considered an advantage. Candidates must be willing to relocate to the Danube Delta and demonstrate teamwork, initiative, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work to deadlines and follow a flexible schedule.
