Sitemark is hiring a Computer Vision and ML Engineer to help develop and scale AI capabilities for its renewable-energy platform. The role focuses on computer vision and machine learning models that process imagery captured by drones and robots at renewable energy sites, turning large volumes of visual data into useful information for customers and operations teams.
The engineer will train, fine-tune, debug, and deploy computer vision models for applications including thermal anomaly detection and classification, defect detection, drone-image object detection, and image stitching/co-registration. The role also involves improving the MLOps infrastructure through experiment tracking, reproducible training, dataset versioning, model registries, deployment pipelines, production monitoring, and feedback loops using labeled operational data.
The position covers the complete experimental workflow, including dataset curation, augmentation, training, error analysis, and iteration. The engineer will also integrate models into the production platform and work on architectural challenges involving large spatial contexts and high-resolution imagery.
Applicants should have strong applied computer vision and deep-learning experience, hands-on experience with dataset and model iteration, strong software engineering fundamentals, and a pragmatic product-oriented approach. Experience with aerial or drone imagery, thermal or multispectral imagery, production MLOps, or Python/TypeScript/React/Postgres is an advantage. English is required for communication in the team.
