Job Description

Everseen is seeking a DevOps Manager to lead and develop a distributed global DevOps Operations team responsible for Level 3 (L3) support across edge, on-premises, and cloud platforms. The role focuses on improving operational reliability, resolving technical incidents, streamlining workflows, and strengthening collaboration between Operations and DevOps engineering teams.

Responsibilities include managing the global DevOps L3 team, overseeing projects, acting as an escalation point, establishing operational procedures, and driving continuous improvement. The manager will develop team capabilities in automation, cloud and edge deployments, monitoring, troubleshooting, and CI/CD pipelines. The position also involves technical architecture discussions, knowledge sharing, mentoring, maintaining standard operating procedures, and collaborating with Operations, DevOps engineering, and Security teams.

The technology stack includes GitLab CI/CD, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Flux CD, Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Python, and Bash.

Applicants should have at least three years of experience as a DevOps Manager and previous experience as a DevOps/Automation Engineer, Linux Administrator, or in a combination of these roles. Experience building teams, establishing processes, working with cloud platforms, automation, monitoring, scripting, and databases is required. Excellent communication skills and fluent business English are essential.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Timisoara, Romania. Occasional work outside routine hours and travel to international customer or partner locations are part of the role.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as a DevOps Manager.
  • Previous experience as a DevOps/Automation Engineer, Linux Administrator, or a combination of these roles.
  • Experience building new teams and establishing processes and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of local and distributed filesystems, storage migration, SSH tunneling, SCP, SFTP, web servers, reverse proxying, and troubleshooting.
  • Basic knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and virtualization solutions.
  • Experience with Ansible/Ansible Tower or similar configuration management tools.
  • Experience with Jenkins/GitLab CI/CD or equivalent tools.
  • Experience with Terraform or alternative infrastructure-as-code solutions.
  • Familiarity with Azure Cloud or AWS/GCP.
  • Familiarity with Git for system versioning and a basic understanding of backup solutions.
  • Experience with Bash scripting and Python for automation and development.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Node exporter, Prometheus, and Grafana, and log collection solutions.
  • Basic understanding of relational databases such as MySQL and MariaDB, and NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch and MongoDB, including hands-on query-writing experience.
  • Hands-on experience with JSON and RESTful API calls.
  • Broad understanding of software engineering principles, architecture, programming languages, frameworks, and industry trends, particularly in AI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Fluent business English.
  • Ability to prioritize customer satisfaction in solution delivery.
  • Interest in learning and expanding technical knowledge.
  • Results-oriented attitude and ability to achieve objectives efficiently.
