OSM Thome is seeking an Ordinary Seaman (OS) to work aboard crude oil tankers trading worldwide. The position involves working as part of a professional deck crew and supporting deck officers and the Bosun with daily deck operations.
Key duties include assisting with mooring and unmooring operations, carrying out chipping, painting, cleaning, and general maintenance, and supporting cargo and ballast operations as instructed. The role also includes lookout and gangway watch duties and requires compliance with safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
Applicants must hold valid STCW Basic Safety Training and a seaman’s book. Previous experience as an OS, preferably on tankers, is required.
