Job Description
G+D Currency Technology GmbH is seeking an experienced Java Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain mission-critical cash management and logistics platforms in Munich. The role focuses on secure, scalable, and high-performance enterprise applications using Java technologies, particularly the Spring ecosystem and modern software engineering practices.
The position involves technical design decisions, proof-of-concepts, troubleshooting production incidents, collaboration throughout the software development lifecycle, and continuous improvement within a cross-functional agile Scrum team. The developer will also contribute to AI-assisted software development, including responsible use and validation of AI-generated results, testing, documentation, and productivity improvements.
The role is based in Munich and involves close collaboration with an agile Scrum team primarily located in Gurugram, India. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an international environment are important. The position is full-time and permanent.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java software development.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA, EJB, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with enterprise application servers such as WebSphere or JBoss.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles, software architecture, and enterprise application development.
- Hands-on experience with non-functional requirements including security, performance optimization, scalability, and automated testing.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server, including query optimization and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
- Understanding of responsible AI usage, security considerations, and result validation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in an international environment.
