Google is looking for a Technical Operations Manager, Third Party Data Center Facilities for a role focused on the reliable operation of third-party data center infrastructure. The position involves managing technical relationships with third-party colocation data centers and supporting the availability, safety, maintainability, and reliability of critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
The role includes serving as the primary contact for third-party colocation data centers, responding to major power or cooling redundancy failures, coordinating capacity expansion works, and validating technical information, risk registers, and maintenance procedures provided by vendors. Regular on-site operational assessments are also required, together with collaboration across Google’s Data Center Engineering, Hardware Operations, Network Infrastructure, and third-party data center operators.
Candidates need an associate’s degree, trade school certification, related technical training, or equivalent practical experience, along with 9 years of experience in Electrical, Mechanical/HVAC, or controls in an industrial or commercial environment and 9 years of operations and facilities management experience. Data center experience and the ability to conduct operational assessments and risk analysis of third-party sites are preferred.
The stated Netherlands compensation is €114,000–€116,000 per year, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
