Job Description
Human Consulting is seeking experienced Telecom Engineers/Developers for Senior Software Engineer and Senior Professional Services Engineer positions in Madrid. The client is an international Telecom and IoT provider headquartered in Germany, with more than seven development centres worldwide, including Madrid. Its work focuses on software and applications for telecommunications networks and solutions for Open Device and Service Management.
As a Software Engineer, the role supports development of the product portfolio, including protocol analysis, integration, project support, and telecommunications service requirements. As a Professional Services Engineer, the role focuses on designing, implementing, and delivering custom device-management solutions, working directly with customer engineering teams and internal product development teams, and providing technical leadership to junior technical and test teams.
The required background includes strong Python and Linux experience, container-based application development, CI/CD, MySQL, telecommunications networks, networking, SQL, web services, and troubleshooting high-load transactional systems. Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in software engineering and programming in Python.
- Several years of experience with container-based application development, such as Docker.
- Extensive experience working with Linux, such as Debian.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and build automation.
- Ability to inspect problems and debug issues at the protocol level.
- Experience with MySQL databases and MySQL queries.
- At least 10 years of experience for the Professional Services Engineer profile, including 5 years in a software technical role working in deployment services.
- Strong working knowledge of Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking suite and abstract layers.
- Ability to diagnose basic network issues.
- SQL database knowledge and ability to perform simple SQL queries or set fields.
- Knowledge of web services, XML, SOAP, and JSON data formats.
- Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- 3 years of experience working with Python for the Professional Services Engineer profile.
- Deep knowledge of access technologies or telecommunications networks.
- Experience with container-based application deployment.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and identify root causes of software issues in high-load transactional web systems.
- Good general communication skills.
