Job Description

E.Leclerc Landerneau is recruiting an Automotive Diagnostic Technician to work within its innovative AutoScan service. Under the responsibility of the auto centre manager and workshop manager, the employee will handle customer vehicles and carry out rapid safety diagnostics using advanced diagnostic equipment.

The role includes a structured three-step inspection covering tyre condition, braking effectiveness and a 40-point expert diagnostic. The technician will perform the diagnostic transparently, allowing customers to follow the process and communicate directly with them.

After the analysis, the employee will provide a reliable, fair and neutral report generated using technological tools, then explain the results clearly to the customer and raise awareness of any potential repairs required. Strict hygiene, cleanliness and safety procedures must also be followed, including wearing the required work uniform and systematically protecting customer vehicles before intervention.

The position requires training or significant experience in automotive mechanics or diagnostics, with experience in technical inspection. Strong customer communication, teaching ability, rigor, responsiveness and autonomy are expected. Manufacturer diagnostic technician or expert technician experience is an advantage.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bac Pro + 5 years of experience.
  • Training or significant experience in automotive mechanics / diagnostics.
  • Experience in technical inspection.
  • Excellent customer relations.
  • Teaching ability, transparency and interest in customer contact.
  • Rigor, responsiveness and autonomy.
  • Manufacturer diagnostic technician / expert technician experience is a plus.
