A 12-hectare family estate in the Sancerre region is recruiting an Assistant Winemaker & Tractor Driver to strengthen its team of two vineyard workers. The role involves operating vineyard machinery throughout the different stages of the vine-growing cycle and participating in projects focused on vine development and grape quality.
From March to the end of August, activities include soil preparation, pruning, treatments and harvesting. From October to the end of February, the work includes replacing posts and stakes, maintaining plots, mulching and spreading fertilizers. The employee will work in collaboration with the two vineyard workers and follow the cultivation strategy defined by the winemaker.
The position also includes manual vineyard work, bottling for approximately 6–7 days per year and labelling for approximately one month per year. Due to the complexity of the plots, the takeover will be gradual with technical support from the winegrower.
Working hours are 36 hours per week over 4.5 days, except from the end of February to the end of July, when overtime is paid. The estate is equipped with recent vineyard machinery and equipment.
